In this case the speakers in question are intended to be ceiling speakers and the fidelity is not paramount. The 1197s run FR (so some comb), & the T 10K and up... we have found on MTs that there is not much horn load, but the wave guide helps keep the low end of the tweeter a bit more directional so it better matches the FR.

Attached is the original conehead concept, which Andy felt was too much of a challenge to not have a go at... good to hear it is still growing.
