You cant (well shouldnt) just turn the gainz up. On my system, and because I have the equipment; I play my loudest stuff at a 3/4 volume setting on the HU, and match the voltage output to that of the amplifier's input. Usually I like to hear a bit of DB boost, so I'll put that at about +5, while lowing the gain to match/keep the circuitry from clipping as measured on my O'Scope. I realize not everyone has a scope to do this, so best would be to find out what your amp's non-clipped voltage output is and match that with a volt metter.

Well it sounds good right now and it doesn't sound like any clipping is being done...so until I get payed...I'm going to leave it at that and when I get the money, take it to dukes car stereo and have it done.
