Diff in bulbs

I've been looking around to see differences in types of bulbs but cannot find any. I'm looking into buying an OHP with a triplet lense with 4000 lumens and have found two with two different bulbs.

One bulb is an EVD 400 watts

Another lamp is an FXL 410 watt

What is the difference in EVD and FXL? Are they halogen lamps? About what is the life on those lamps if I used 4000 lumens? Is it going to be more that 50 hrs? Is it worth spending money on a metal halide lamp rather than a halogen lamp?

well one of the main reasons (for me) to make a DIY projector, is that u dont need to spend $500 replacing a lamp every 2000hrs, but instead $60 every 10,000hrs or so.

If u go with these halogen lamps (even the ones that last 60hrs, and even if u buy 50 at a time so u get em at $13 each) its gona cost u at least $433 every 2000hrs + ur gona be changing bulbs a lot.

Id spend the money now and go with metal halide and reap the rewards later (money wise + brighter/better pic with less heat).
