Has anyone worked on a diablo 2500.1 replaced all power supply fets. relayes power but power supply wont power up. no rail voltage. any ideas.
Was a nasty melt down. trying to fix for a fiend.

Production model or proto, if it has the heatsink milled with diablo audio... its production and you might just as well trash it.
They are a bad design and will never be stable below 2 ohms.
Ebbcotech is the only person with knowledge of it and you will get a response here and there but never a full answer.

It's a proto. It took a hard frying. Killed all the power supply fets. Had several burnt traces and lots of burnt resistors. R&R'd the burnt parts now only the relays come on when powered. No rail voltage. Will post a pic when get back home.
I have a proto version on my shelf right now, I can get some values if you need them.
If you could possibly give me the output fet locations. I need to know where the n-channel parts go and the p-channel. Don't ask why. 🙂

Start with the basics.. Is there power on the power supply IC? Can you list the voltages of each pin for us? (I know, this is a Perry question normally.....) Do you have a scope?

going from the inputs toward the power supply. 4-irfp240 and 4-irfp9240.
Starting to feel like i cant fix anything. this one and three others are kickin my butt.
Voltages are as follows:
1-5.2mV
2-2.75v
3-64mV
4-52mV
5-1.2v
6-3v
7-5mV
8-.6v
9-96mV
10-96mV
11-.67V
12-5.32v
13-4.34v
14-4.34v
15-4.2v
16-7.2mV
which pins should be reading AC voltage?

The input voltage on this IC is too low. Pins 8, 11 and 12 should be near 12v. Follow the circuit back to see why you don't have 12v on those pins.
