I've got an assortment of exciters on the way from Parts-Express, thinking about using them for the tweeter component of a line array. Most of the DIY experiments I've found so far were more concerned about low-end extension. It's not clear to me how much of the material selection and sizing was determined by that.
How will the effects of stiffness, mass, anisotropy, suspension, etc. differ for a design focused on something like 500-2000Hz bottom end, hoping to peak out at 20KHz or higher?
