Hello from a newbie
I've recently repaired my Denon DVD 2900 (wasn't detecting CDs/SACDs) and want to carry out some audio upgrades.
I've heard that the Burson Audio Op Amps are fantastic. I've found a couple of retailers here in the UK that can supply them. Does anyone know if you can apply these to all channels or is it a stereo only upgrade?
I also hear a lot about Black Gate Capacitors and I want to install some. Trouble is I can't find a guide to doing this. Would anyone be able to give me some advice on which BGs replace which of the stock caps in the 2900? Or if there are other caps I should consider (knowing that BG are out of production) then how do I go about identifying which ones to replace, and with what?
I have a basic understanding of electronics but that's about as far as it goes. I'm entirely competent at following instructions though, and have a 2900 service manual to play with.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. I've had a look on here and although I can find a good few threads with information on I can't find any guides on how to actually carry out these upgrades.
Thanks

I did replace the OpAmps in my DVD-2930 - on all channels. There are five dual ones.
I did use my favorite ones - LM4562. But that involves some SMD work. Not impossible, but has a certain degree of difficulty.
