I just need schemas. Back engineering is rather hard. I'd like to change analog path, power supply, decoupling capacitors etc.
If you look on the Denon website, they will point to distributors that handle parts that include the service manuals. I believe the schemas are included in that.
I have the service manual, but it doesn't include schemas...
I assume that it is the owner's manual then ..... ?!

Charles
Yes, I have owner's manual. I've been searching throught the net for service manual but with no results. I don't know where to look for it.
I also would like the schematics and do not know where to find them.
Specifically, I want to remove the muting transistors on the 2 channel audio ouput.

What is the benefit of removing the muting transitors?

I learned about the muting transistors on this forum, specifically concerning the NAD 541i which has the muting transistors in the same place as the NAD 542 of which I have two. Removing the muting transistors on my 542's opened up the sound and gave more separation and detail, just as all the information I have read stated. I do now have a plop at power up and a whistle at power down if the CD player is powered up or down before the amp, but this is not a big deal to me and worth the much improved (to me) sound.
