Why?
I give advice to repair stuff I once repaired but personally don't have. If one believes reviews and common taste one definitely does not end up with the best gear. This is common knowledge among techs.
It is not sharing impressions either. Ah well....let me rephrase it this way:
"Better read the reviews before buying an amplifier and (when possible) first try it out in your setup."

My main bread and butter for 15 years was fixing stuff...and I had 4 failures in total in that period of time...I 'd add...if you can do it, do it, if not quit in time!
