Denon DR220 Cassette Deck Schematic

Dear Friends,

I am desperately looking for the schematic for the Denon DR-220 cassette deck, particularly the motor drive circuit. The play, fast forward is OK but the rewind is not working. There are 2 motors on the deck and I want to know what are the functions of each motor. Please assist

Considering that only RWD does not work, it probably is a belt or idler wheel problem, depending on what kind of mechanism it has. Rubber parts account for a large majority of problems with tapes.

The two motors are usually configured as 1) The capstain motor and 2) the rewind motor.

As sgrossklass stated, I would look for a slipping belt or perished pulley.
