I'm (obviously) new to this but wanted to find out if this turntable my junk collecting dad found for 3$ is worth keeping and using. It's a Denon DP1700 direct drive turntable in great condition and works as far as I can tell without a working cartridge. I also wanted to get some advice on replacing the cartridge (good starter cartridge) that won't break the bank. It looks to have an Audio Technica on there now with the stylus broken off. 😱
