Have you tried the Denon website? At least for the U.S. there's pointers off to a couple of online sites that sell the service manuals for several of their units.

I just did a quick search, and Pacific Coast Parts will sell (at least to US customers) a copy of the service manual for the avr3801 for $25.00. Double check the Denon site for you area of the world and see what they say.

Denon AVR-3801 won't power-on.

Perplexed Why Denon avr-3801 won’t power-on. Have Service Manual and complete Schematics but don’t know how to find circuit that turns on the receiver and allows the AC power to flow into the power supply. By-passed (jumped)the relay that opens The “hot” AC line and made direct connection to the power supply. Some circuits went on and there was heat, but the unit was not fully powered on, the controls did not work, and the display was dead blank. These are the two problems: Transformer functions when jumped. But the “standby” switch is dead and unit won’t power-up. No display when system is jumped. I hope someone who solved these problems might share their solution.
