Hello all,

This is my first thread on here and I'm in bad need of assistance. First off, and I cant be clear enough about this, I have NEVER done any electrical work or modifications of any kind....none. However, I am an audiophile fanatic and have reached the peak in terms of what I can afford to buy in new equipment. My primary digital source is a Denon DVD-2900. I use it only for high rez music (SACD and DVD-A) and the occasional redbook CD. I do not use it for video (have a PS3 for that). I am only interested in it as a musical transport. I have a 5.1 system consisting of a full line of LSi Polk Audio speakers (LSi25's for fronts, LSiC center and LSiFX's for surrounds). I've read some of the mods done on 2900's here already but I am more than confused on how to proceed. So much seems to be out there for modification. I have about $200-$300 to spend for mods. What can I do for that money and is there a step by step description (preferrably with pictures!) to help me along? Also, a list of tools required (soldering gun, etc) would also be helpful.

Sorry for such a rudimentary question, but I hope I can invest a little time and money for a noticeable sonic improvement from my 2900. THANKS!
