but my opening post has since been deleted, I thought maybe you considered my thread to be redundant, but the thread is still there and I haven't received any messages by the moderators or admins.

You should find your post/thread showing. It is because you edited the post while still being under moderation and as such the post needed to be read and approved.

All members need to build up a satisfactory post history before they are free to post without approval. Not long though 🙂
