Deleted audio files

If just deleted, and no more writes on card, recovery is quite possible. If replaced, may be recoverable. No promises in these cases of course...

I would by the cheapest Sandisk SD-card I could find where their recovery software RescuePro is included. This way you at least get a very good SD card and a software that I have succeeded to recover files with. Check which OS are supported...

Happy hunting!

Hey there! Sorry to hear that your kiddo accidentally trashed some audio files from your SD card. That's a total bummer, but you can still try to recover some of your data.

Firstly, try using some data recovery software like Recuva or PhotoRec (the second option is more tech-savvy). Both options are completely FREE and both are ones I have tried in the past when I accidentally formatted the memory card in my Canon camera. If you prefer commercial software, Disk Drill should do the job. R-Studio is also a cool product, but not as user-friendly. All options except Recuva are available on both Windows and macOS.

However, if the files have been overwritten, it's almost impossible to recover them. So, if the data recovery software doesn't work or you can't find the files, unfortunately, they may be gone forever.

In case the file loss was caused by a problem with the SD card's file system, you can try using some repair software like TestDisk or chkdsk. These programs/tools can help fix file system errors and recover lost data. Just be aware that running these programs can sometimes cause further damage to the data, so use them at your own risk.

Tip: It's super important not to save the recovered files back onto the same SD card! That could overwrite the deleted data and make it impossible to recover.

Good luck with your file recovery mission and let us know how it goes!

I have no idea how to find/restore them and if that's even possible.
Even a minute of power after any flash memory is erased, the original data is almost impossible for ordinary users to recover.

The card itself will wear level the cells, making any recovery impossible. Security services have methods using deep charge read technology, but that's state security level. Not possible for the plebs like us.
