Dead simple tube circuit

I am looking to make a DEAD simple tube circuit, preferably with only 1 triode (or maybe pentode/tetrode) tube in it, for the sake of a physics project, looking a how it affects the wave forms of sounds going through it etc.

Anyone with any schematics for this kind of project?

A tube amplifier in its simplest form would be a triode and three resistors: a grid leak resistor, a plate (anode) resistor and a cathode resistor.
