Am I correct in thinking that if a pixel is dead on a LCD screen for a DIY projector, its gona be a real pain as it will be amplified and be very obvious? And is it ok if they pixel is dead (as in off) rather than constantly turned on to 1 color?
My XGA projector has a blue pixel, at floor-to-ceiling size I pretty much never see the pixel unless I look for it.
Worse is the dead bug sitting in the corner of the screen. Sigh. Guess I should take the thing apart and fix that.

ok im gona make an order for a 2nd hand 15" LCD monitor, with the condition that the it has no broken "akways on" pixels, only a few dead "always off" pixels at the most.
Sound good 😀?

have been told it has 0 dead pixels 😀, and with some research on this forum have found that its a good model to use and only requires that the mainboard be mounted on a 90" angle 🙂.
BTW With google, i have come to believe this is a "LCD1510V" model NEC LCD 🙂. (danm I hope im not wrong here lol)
