DCD480 (Denon) upgrade

Hi,

Sorry to bother you, it's my first post in this deep dark corner of the diyaudio.com forum...
I just aquired an old denon DCD480, and I'd like to learn to mod it. Not that I expect it to end up being a wonderfull superb source, but just to learn things. Things that I'd apply to some better device later on.

So, I'd most likely need the service manual, right? Or at least the schematic... Anyone?

Key parts in this thing are pcm61P DAC's and mainly RC4558 OpAmp's.

I't like to find out which are the mute-tor's (I guess tr706 and tr707)

What should I replace the rc4558's with? (I don't want to start another xxx vs. yyy threat, please be kind!)
opa2604 ? ne5532? lm6172? opa2132? I haven't got a clue!

Should I make a new +/- xx V PSU for the (or some of the) OpAmp's ? and the DAC's?

Hope to learn a lot,

Paul
