No way, use the chassis if heavy metal or 1.2c/w sinks per side.I intend to hot-rod my DCB1 to 600 mA level. Are the 567-287-1ABE heatsinks enough for the IRFP?
Adolfo
Think more like this and or bigger.
This is chassis tied and heatsink tied. Some have done with larger standalone heatsinks.
Some with thicker chassis can run 200-300ma with just chassis floor.

Hi,
I have question regarding those four 220ohm resistors. Can I change their value?
The thing is I got four VAR z-foil 740ohm and two 300ohm from other project that I would like possibly use instead of those 220ohm.
I believe I could easily exchange two 220ohm input ones with two 740ohm VARs that I have. The only downside here is that the signal would attenuated a bit more compering to 220ohm ones.
What about those 220ohm output ones? Could I changed them to 300ohm? The only downside here would be output impedance increased?

I'm assembling my Hot-Rod DCB1 with Teabag's board and kit and will hot-rod it to 200mA. I will use the Dale 10R. The kit contains two 47R resistors but the board can take four. Do I need two more 47R? If not, where should the two 47R go?
Thanks.
Thanks.
Those two 47R go to the BC550/BC560 base pins. The 47Rs places in the area where the 10Rs go are options just in case someone needs to run the CCS in low current in some integrated no space build skipping the 10R. But usually nobody does. They run 170-200mA at least.
I have one more of the kits with PRP resistors for current price.
After that, I am swapping the resistors to a mix of Vishay's and will be charging more as the price of the 2SK170BL Toshiba's have increased significantly in cost.

Hello everyone ,
I am looking to buy a pre-mounted DCB1 preamplifier or maybe someone who wants to mount it for me. I have seen that the kit is already discontinued, so I hope to be lucky. Thank you!

Hello, thank you very much for the offer, of course it may interest me. You are very far from Spain right?
If someone wants this kit...
I Think I still have one full kit in my closet... Have to check Later...
Its located in Germany...
