DC to DC inverter?

I have been looking at this DC to DC inverter kit from Oatley Electronics.

However, it's max output power is 100W. Would it be possible to connect the output leads of two or more of these inverters and double the current from 3 to 6 amps? I really don't want to try to build my own power supply as I have no experience doing so, but I haven't seen anything anywhere that would be suitable for a car amplifer power supply. Does anyone know of places that manufactuer stepup power supplies (from 12 to 24V-36V @ 4 amps or more)?

Also I noticed that this inverter is unregulated, would this cause any major problems? I am under the impression that you want a regulated power supply for car amplification. Any help would be appreciated. BTW, would this inverter be sufficient to run a single LM3886 chip?
 
That circuit is regulated... that's what the feedback resistors are for. You can parallel multiple units if they are adjusted for close to the same output and you isolate each one with a rectifier diode in the positive leg.

It's not possible to make a +/- supply from more than one of those since the ground is common to the input side. You could wind a split secondary (center tap) though if there's enough room on the core. Of course you'll need to add filter caps for the negative side. If you try to parallel a split supply you'll need a diode in both + and - legs.

The LM3886 has a wide power supply range, depending on load impedance and power you want.
