I'm not sure but that may be the reason. I did purchase the input and output devices at different time and source.
What I was wanting to know if possible is that all of your input devices have the same date, and all of the output devices the same. I doubt that both input and output would be the same.

I'm not sure if the input (& output) are from the same date ... but they are matched pretty closely .... something like to 10mv for the outputs adn even closer for the inputs.

If your outputs devices are the 240's from BrianGT, they are all from the same lot. He purchased more than 100 at once, I think from Digikey. And yes, he did a great job of matching them.

Yes, I got those from BrianGT and thanks for letting me know that they are from the same lot .... I never did ask BrianGT if they are.
Anyway, I got the "problem" fixed and now both channel of my Aleph 2 has about the same bias and DC offset.
I'm happy with the sound so far ...... unless something bugs me again after further serious listening down the road.
