DC motor control

Eeeek 😉

That's like using a torque wrench to adjust a swiss watch.

Turntable motor control requires precision, and even better a system of feedback from a pulse generator on the rim for absolute accuracy.

If you want to control a small DC motor you can vary the voltage to it, but also incorporate back EMF sensing such that as the motor is loaded the volts across the motor rises and maintains speed. That's how most cheap/midprice motors work in cassette decks, turntable etc.
