can anyone tell me if the following item good for dc motor control for turn table , may be can mod a bit to make it works
12 - 40V 6.5A 80W DC Motor Speed PWM Controller DIY Car - eBay (item 330455796660 end time Jul-31-10 08:49:58 PDT)

Eeeek 😉
That's like using a torque wrench to adjust a swiss watch.
Turntable motor control requires precision, and even better a system of feedback from a pulse generator on the rim for absolute accuracy.
If you want to control a small DC motor you can vary the voltage to it, but also incorporate back EMF sensing such that as the motor is loaded the volts across the motor rises and maintains speed. That's how most cheap/midprice motors work in cassette decks, turntable etc.
