I have a few LU1014 sitting around and thought I would add some type of ZV9 to my project queue. Is it possible to change the circuit so that it runs on a split supply and is DC coupled to the speaker? SPICE simulations suggest it is possible, but I worry about the stability of the DC offset as the amp warms up. Does anyone know how much the amp drifts as it warms? Or, perhaps is there an obvious reason why DC coupling is a bad idea?

It is possible, either by creating a balanced version with a single supply or
by using a level shifting devices (transistor or transformer) on the input
to drive the JFET relative to the negative rail.
