Ref. dbx 224 Series 1

What you have is a dbx 224, series 1 Compander.

I bought/used this same unit with a dbx 200 series 1, when they were new.

I no longer have the Owners Manual. This compander is very easy to use.

dbx uses a "left-handed logic" in how to hook up their equipment. That's why it's VERY Easy to connect it incorrectly.

I find circuit for DBX noise reduction type 1 for bobbin tape recorder without special old chips i.e. mPC1252, mPC1253 . May be on discrete elements.
