There's another thread on these here somewhere. In it also link to the Parts Express forum where Curt Campbell has posted thoughts and measurements and eventually a filter to tame the FR. He and Wayne give the 8" thumbs up. Since it's primarily a multi-way forum I take that as a good sign. 😉
