I have a Dayton DCS450-4 18" driver that I'd like to use in an HT setup. I need it to play from 50hz to as low as possible at 95db. What are my enclosure options?

Hi, Here is one:

Sealed or ported you'll need a BIG enclosure (~16ft^3) to go low. The driver is too excursion limited to use a LT, that's out unless you will never go over 95db then it could work in a 7.2ft^3 sealed box. Ported you could make a heck of a HT sub at 16cf. Tuned to 17.2Hz would give you (with some room gain)112db at 50Hz, 110db at 20hz, 108db at 17Hz, with 136w. That's pretty good headroom for HT.
In a room that small I'm guessing that's probably too big unless you want to build a couch sub or something. If you have attic space you could access, that would work well.
