Dayton DTA-1 Class T Digital Amplifier

Hello,

I am new to this forum and appreciate your help.

I'm looking to put a soundsystem together for my bike.

I've found this Dayton portable amp that has x2 15W speaker connections @ 4 Ohms: http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=300-380

What would happen if I connect this to my 40W 6 Ohm speakers? Would the sound just not be very loud, would the amp malfunction?

It will work fine.

How loud the combo will play without distortion depends upon the sensitivity of your speakers....

I had no idea Dayton had licensed the Sonic T-amp. For double the price as the original though so not that great an offer. There are better options out there that doesn't require as much modding and are cheaper.
