I tried running some numbers in WinISD using the same 6.5" TB sub and a Dayton 8" PR. Assuming that I'm operating the program correctly (and that assumption may be quite a stretch 🙄 ) there's about 8dB gain over the equivalent Linkwitz scheme - putting everything in the upper 90s for SPL before power and/or excursion limits. This would be excellent if true! But, I'm not confident about my ability to do this correctly - so I'd be interested in hearing from others more familiar with PR schemes...
Looks like it might well be worth exploring!
