This is very, very sad news but it had a weird twist for me this morning.
Sunday afternoon, while preparing lunch for my family, I was talking to my college-age daughter and she explains that she had a really strange dream during her nap that involved a conversation with David Bowie. I asked her if she had been listening to one of his songs but she isn't that familiar with his music at all and prefers listening to other forms of music. She remarked that she was confused why she would dream about him. I responded that indeed it was very strange but then the topic turned to lunch and other family business. It was quickly forgotten.
This morning, I almost dropped my phone when I saw the news that he had passed. What an odd coincidence.

She said more about the dream, but I've said enough. Suffice it to say it was pretty interesting timing given that none of us in our family knew that he was ill nor that she was that familiar with him. 😉
