No hint in RTT or the Ratheiser book either. You are sure on the "08" part of the designation? PE06/40 just would be 807 ...

Yes i am pretty sure it says 08/40, PE tells me its a tetrode, right?
i will try to take a picture tonight, the tube has two anode connections on top, not ordinary caps but nuts to tighten wires in place.

"PE" is just an old Philips/Valvo prefix for transmitting tubes, as far as I know not giving implicite information on wether it might be tetrode or pentode. Since Philips had the pentode patents, I suppose many PE types were real pentodes w/ surpressor grids, indeed.

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

Ja , but the results are not so good as other RS (Sendung) tubes . And did you ever tried to find the socket ? 😕
i think i have a few sockets already..
but i guess im sonically better off with 6DQ5 or PL/EL509 in SE right?
-but linearity of RL12P35 is not that bad for a pentode?
I know its not kinkless, but anyhow, it is usable!
Any recommendation for OPT:s?
