So i picked up this touch screen for 100 dollars without testing or drivers.... plugged it in and it displays nice in 1024x768.... The guy said that it used the "elo drivers" or "magic touch" drivers.... installed both types of drivers on my core 2 xp machine and it won't let me calibrate.
Magic touch says no touch screen installed
ELO gives me the calibration screen, but when i touch, it does nothing.
The weird thing is the panel has a mouse connector coming from it instead of a regular serial port cable..... would that be the problem? the drivers i have seem to be for the vga type serial cable.
anyway with it pluged in i touch the screen and it DOES affect where the mouse is on the screen but needs calibration badly.
.....did i just waste 100 dollars??? there is no serial number anywhere on it.
It seems this guy took the regular serial port cable and spliced on a ps2 connector.... look at the pics..... Would this even work?
