I've bought this two output pair version, they have been mounted to my heatsink and tested, I am getting all of my tapedecks into working order and building a plinth for my Lenco before I get my amp projects finished off:

Mine will be using an old Bel 1001 amplifier case/transformer/heatsink so 40V rails, I have read the design has low PSRR so will probably add LM1083 regs as opposed to the massive amount of filtering per rail used on the original design (66mF per channel per rail)

These criticisms do not relate to the sound quality...... cf. a Single Ended Triode has appalling figures but the sound is out of the world.

So I bought a kit on Taobao with the help of Mr Tao 🙂

There's now also an active sensor available to keep the DC offset at a minimum.

Glowing reviews of the kit builders? As the actual commercial Dartzeel likely bears only some resemblance to the kit circuit.

I think the kit circuit comes pretty close to the actual circuit.
They dismantled one.

i am intrigued and at the same time hesitant .

Compared AB to LM3875, it sound wider, more open, vocal sounds clearer and much more bass. But SCNP upgrade capacitor does not work properly. Unable to set output voltage to zero. I think its due unmatched transistors. All transistors PNP NPN pairs need to be perfectly matched.
Tested DUOK Audio KIT for 175$ from ebay.

That pcb contains two DC servos, almost the same circuit is the one in Salas DCG3 preamp.

What exactly are you asking? If someone has bought the boards, desoldered all the transistors and tested them? 🙂

The seller could have published at least distortion data, or given some information about the transistor selection: what parameter and under what conditions. Why don't you ask them?

My clone was built with random transistors from Mouser. Measured THD was almost double the figures in the Stereophile test.

In the photo it would be visible transistors are signed or not and thus to check the words of the seller.

Seller from aliexpress matching transistors to sell with the kit, it is something unheard-of and in my experience quite laughable assumption. Particularly, when seller not providing any information on what exactly is matching, and how did he do it. I simply wouldn't pay attention to such claims.
