I am not aware of any USB 2.0 issues with Daphile. If you are insure then try the latest Linux 4.8.15 version (see 16.12-b17104). It is more efficient than the previous versions and is more stable re recognition and support of USB DACs, especially when processing PCM to DSD. When in Daphile go to "settings", then change the URL to \\daphile\cgi-bin\Devel
If you have labeled your device other than "daphile" then use that
Scroll down to see the Install line. Paste the required ISO install and process accordingly.
The beta versions can be found here ..

I have problems with USB 2.0, I'm using the latest 32 bits firmware but when write http://192.168.1.35//daphile/cgi-bin/Devel the answer is "404 Not Found: daphile/cgi-bin/Devel"
The devel directory would be 192.168.1.35/cgi-bin/DevelI have problems with USB 2.0, I'm using the latest 32 bits firmware but when write http://192.168.1.35//daphile/cgi-bin/Devel the answer is "404 Not Found: daphile/cgi-bin/Devel"
What's the required ISO?
Is this one: daphile-16.12-b171040-i486 ?
If your system supports 64 bit then download the last one on the beta page ..
http://www.daphile.com/firmware/private-beta/daphile-16.12-b171040-x86_64.iso
When you load the Devel page you should see an Install option under actions. I don't know why this is missing on your screen shot.

Where can I configure the dhcp client request timeout on the ethernet interface?
My local network has a pretty slow dhcp server and I need to increase the timeout value.
I found it easier to use a fixed IP address for Daphile. If I don't use it for a few days, unlikely as that is, it may not be assigned the same IP by the DHCP server and the remote control app stumbles to find it. If you do this, assign an address up out of your normal range (eg, 192.168.0.80) so you won't have to worry about configuring the DHCP server.
Also ensure you put in an IP address for a valid DNS server; using your router won't work, as I found out. If you don't know what DNS server to use, you can use a Google serve, 4.4.4.4 or 8.8.8.8.

In general I find it better to use dhcp with reserved addresses so that the assigned address always stays the same, but things like DNS and default routes are taken care of. It also puts all IP address management in one place.

Understood. If xaled is happy to configure his/her router, by all means.

Do you have any evidence?
In general I find it better to use dhcp with reserved addresses...
So do I.
Thanks for the ideas.
Fixed ip would be a solition but I wanted to get dhcp running.
Daphile uses a linux distro that is unknown to me and I just can not find the net config files that control dhcp settings.

Just looked at the "donor" PC that I was going to load Dalphile onto, it's a 32 bit machine. All the posts regarding getting USB2 output, suggested success with the latest 64 bit version. Am I wasting my time trying with the 32bit version, or will there be no difference?
You can't hear difference..Am I wasting my time trying with the 32bit version..
I did not mean SQ, I was wondering if the 64 bit version had additional features which the 32 bit hadn't, with respect to the USB 2 output format/settings.
You can't hear difference..
So have you confirmed that the 64 bit SRC/SDM algorithms sound and measure exactly the same on the 32 bit version?
