I don't think the SQ is related to CPU. I'd say more EMI dependent. The power design, the filter and layout will account for this.
All counts.
Bits (samples data) are only half of the story. If there is bit perfect delivery to the DAC, then how?
Timing does matters as much: a correct sample at the wrong time is a wrong sample. 😉
(...and the clock is always ANALOG, not digital).
In principle asynchronous data transfers with local clock on the DAC should make it irrelevant whatever happen upstream... but in practice that's not the case. Somehow the interface (e.g. USB bus) activity does have an influence on the DAC timing (and/or on voltage references, "noise", etc), which in turn can alter the perceived SQ.
In turn, the computer (hardware and software) does have an influence on what's going on on the interface bus.
Thus, unfortunately... everything matters.
OTOH, those kind of small, indirect influences are basically unpredictable. In most cases there's basically no way to know in advance what could be better, nor to generalize a result.

This is so true. Plus the change (very often miniscule) must be identified somehow, not just with sighted listening. Precise measuring, blinded listening. That would be called an analysis, no just claiming "do this, it will improve the SQ". Such as the 4-core CPUs compared to weak but absolutely performance-sufficient Atoms.
Changes induced by small details have to be identified to exist (measuring, blind listening tests), and at which direction they go (measuring). Random changes, even when accompanied by excited golden-ear claims, lead to nowhere.
Wrong..The problem is that all can't be measured.
Things that can't be measured only exists inside your head..
All..I'm using the Asrock J3455-ITX mainboard with 8G ram. When i boot from a CD the booting starts by loading the image in Ram
Then the line starts building and stops at ~15% and stay there for ever
Anyone has an idea what could be happening?

Naives.

How about some well-supported arguments, not just general phrases...
Try to boot from USB-stick instead. Perhaps your CD-image is corrupt.All..I'm using the Asrock J3455-ITX mainboard with 8G ram. When i boot from a CD the booting starts by loading the image in Ram

Also tried that as well as using a freshly burned CD from a previous version. Same result.

Really do you believe all can be measured?
We don't talk here abour belief..Really do you believe all can be measured?
If you have some argument we can discuss..
Superstition is for another forum..
Shows symptoms of a memory fault - either seating or the memory itself. I think daphile only requires 2GB ram. Also see http://www.tomshardware.com/answers...x-crucial-8gb-ddr3l-1866-sodimm-35v-cl13.html for some additional insights. Also tried that as well as using a freshly burned CD from a previous version. Same result.

If audiophile HiFi can be achived by simply realising some established measurements then we wouldn't need this discussion. It's the same with speakers, cables and amplifiers - lots of highly subjective listening hyperbole. Also lots of fun. A key function of this forum is to give people the opportunity to say what works for them in the hope it may help others realise a similar experience.
Runs perfectly with 1GB..I think daphile only requires 2GB ram..

Objectively made and interpreted measurements are enough..

This is DIY Forum, knowledge must be over superstition..
