There are a lot of people around Portland that have saws......😀😀😀
Most spit gas and have a long chain.....not right for intricate cutting

If you file a police report you might have a slim chance of recovering them one day?
I thought about this too.....however my area (20 square blocks or so) has had 4 armed bank robberies, one man robbed at gun point and countless gang shootings in the last few months. I don't know how I feel about tying up precious police time over $20 worth of cabinets.
Welllllllllll now that would spoil all the fun of trying to make something from outta nothing!!! OTOH we could get into how to DIY a set of magnetic planer speakers outta some mylar and aluminum foil and some spare magnets!!! 😀
And of course there is that thing about after you get some Maggie's set up right the chase for good speakers is pretty much over.
Roger that, and concur! Especially that last part. I just got my first pair of maggies earlier this year. They are MG-12/QRs and for $550 for the pair I couldn't possibly have done better, or even come close, as far as I'm concerned. Trouble is, now I want some bigger ones!
Actually, I think that the OP has suffered enough and under the circumstances I'd really like to see him at least grab a $200 set of older Magnepans, just so _I_ could rest assured that he would have something exquisite to listen to, while recuperating. I guess I'm just selfish that way. <grin>

P.S. Before acquiring the maggies, I actually did buy a bunch of magnets, and various films and aluminum wire and foil, and, a very nice little DC Gauss/Tesla meter with a directional probe. I'm still fooling around with all of that, but find it difficult to pull myself away from the maggies, which are simply glorious. Every single day, I am still dumbfounded by them. (I could probably make a fortune selling Magnepan speakers.) I just _gotta_ find some MG-3.6s...!

c2c,
Good to know some folks appreciate ugly! I'm going paint the 6 foot arrays though, must protect the wood from absorbing moisture. Maybe a nice smurf blue or let people write on it with a sharpie? I'm going to drive some short 3/8ths nails into the box to finish the look.
