Hello,
i would like to built a DAC into my active speaker with analogue crossover and DMOS Poweramps so that i can plug a Sonos Connect right into them.
I would like to have the following features:
A SPDIF input to connect the Sonos to the first speaker and a SPDIF out/passthrough to link the DAC from the first Speaker to the DAC from the second speaker.
Since iam a real noob in electronics i would like to know if someone has and idea where to get something like this?
Could not find anything on google.
Thanks and Best regards
Daniel

You need a buffer/line driver to drive the second SPDIF. Just copy the circuit from a competent CD player.
You are asking for a S/PDIF transceiver. Have a look here: S/PDIF Transceivers | WM8805 | Wolfson Microelectronics
Anything from MiniDSP?
I don't quite get your setup, but they offer usb-spif, or digital input - active XO, lots of other solutions, and cheap for what you get.
There MiniShark & Curryman DAC may be what you want.

I just want two DACs one for each active speaker. And i would like to link them together with spdif.
So that i can connect the digital source like the Sonos directly to speaker one with spdif and link the signal with spdif from there to active speaker two...
