Here’s my build. It’s 3 Stereo DACs, and the purpose of the build is to use with miniDSP nanoDIGI.
The DAC boards I got prepopulated with DIR9001 and CS4398. I first bought one to try, it sounds to me a little different than the DAC built into my Oppo CD Player, and I’m still convinced it’s different in a good way.
The analogue output goes to a THAT Driver(http://www.neurochrome.com/that-driver/), (3x boards) which for my purpose gives me 6dB of gain, and a differential output over XLR.
My next amp project will have a balanced input, so later I can add a volume pot to use this as a Pre-Amp with digital inputs.
I’m really enjoying listening to it. I welcome any feedback or questions. Yes I know that the coax soldered to the back of the BNC inside the case looks like kaka. I’ll redo it when I have a third hand. I need to remove everything from the box this weekend anyway to sand, stain, seal etc the wood.

Very cool. Thanks for sharing.
Coincidentally, I now offer a balanced input circuit as well. The THAT Receiver. It's available in both a stereo and a mono version. Read more here: Neurochrome THAT Receiver.
