When my grandpa found out I was doing the projector thing, he told me that he had a couple projection screens in his barn that he wanted to get rid of cuz they were in his way.
He said they were probably 5 or 6 feet across.
I got them this weekend, and they aren't nearly as big as I had hoped for.
So now I have two Da-Lite screens if anyone is interested. They're 40x40 and should easily do a picture about 50"-55" diagonal. I did open them both up, and they both have nice screens with no visible defects. The casing and stands on them are both functional and in good condition, but do show some age. They both roll up very well with no arguing. I will wipe the biggest of the cobwebs off them. They are almost identical, but one has a slightly different tripod on the stand than the other.
I set one of them up in front of my projector that is currently projecting about 110" and the difference in the colors and brightness was amazing. Far more than what I expected.
I'd sell them for $20 each plus shipping. Or make me an offer if you don't like that. They aren't overly heavy, but I would guess shipping to be around $12 or so.

if you had that 110" ...or bigger than Im offering double what anyone one offered you! (ok not double 🙂 5$ more 😀)
not 110" screen.. I was just projecting directly onto a white wall. I thought it was fine until I saw how much better it looked on this little screen. If I moved my projector in to project at 55", it'd probably be super bright. Almost daytime viewable using old original OHP bulbs.
oh...lol
doesnt matter ..im now officially broke 🙁
I have a 70x70 screen already...I wanted a bigger one and a NON tripod..my current one takes too much space.. oh well maybe next time 🙂
