D.Sound Pure Digital Amplifiers are designed to reproduce music in the way the artist intended it to be. There is no DAC, Pre-Amp and Power Amp interstage which could alter the music quality and add colouration to the sound. All digital sources are processed within the digital domain, eliminating any sound deterioration caused by analog conversions, thus ensuring a pure high quality output delivery.

They are probably digital amps, that directly use the digital signal to generate a PWM signal. -> The PWM signal is converted to analog right at the power stage output. So there is practically no analog signal before that.
Wadia sells one of these digital amps, too. It costs 10 times as much, though.

By digital amp you mean class D, right?

What's the point if the amplifier has 0.03% THD+N spec? That can EASILY be exceeded by the standard DAC+analog amplifier. I don't see any advantage with this product.

It is the price.
Digital input, 50 Watts out, in a fancy case, for slightly over 100 USD, this is quite cheap!

There is this one company, that also sells diy modules with this technology, I forgot the name... But specs weren´t good with them either.
