The detail Class D digs up still amazes me . Awhile ago i purchased a SMSL SA 50 and was listening to Roger Waters Pro's and Con's of Hitch Hiking , an album i have heard a thousand times and through some pretty high end systems yet i was hearing little sounds and details previously unheard .
I used to hate the " computer age " for what the advent of mass storage and playback did to kill off so many great Hi-Fi manufacturer's . Now i thank it for bringing so much affordable " desk top " gear to the market which when combined with " proper " more traditional sources and speakers allow a " high end " listening experience for peanuts.

I still believe that if an amp changes the sound in any way, it's not a good amp. Nowadays good components are easily found and affordable, there's no excuse for poor implementation.
