Cyrus Dad7 problem

Hi all,

My Cyrus Dad7 just stopped working. I accidently put a data CD in it and there was a loud sharp noise through the speakers and the thing doesnt even power up anymore. its totally dead, doesnt do anything.

Any ideas?

What tends to cause total failure on a CD player?

Have you tried unplugging and plugging back in a few seconds? Sounds like a fragile machine.😱
