I have designed and built a pair of horns (Martinsson look-alikes), which are to be used as subs
for my PA.
I was thinking to modify the 12dB high pass filter of my CX3400 cross over units.
The HPF was designed for 25Hz roll off, but in order to stay within the safe X-MAX of
my Beyma 15G40's a 40Hz roll off frequency would be better.
I figured best way is to put 2 resistors in parallel with the existing ones (see annex).
Then there is also the bypass switch circuitry. I thought it would be better to remove the
existing 47uF series cap for a 470n bipolar type.
Any thoughts on these mods (HPF and bypass circuit)?
