the schematic is attached below for further examination
i have a 10k log pot
i need it to behave as 0-33k from wiper to out
and 0-220k from wiper to ground
if i add a 68k resistors in series with the output lug and then parallel the end of it with the wiper using another 68k resistor
and placing a 220k series resistor in the ground lug then strapping in parallel the exit with the wiper
then will it behave the way i described?

0-33k impliies na variation between those 2 values but you heve **fixed** 33k from wiper to output so NO, it won´t work.i have a 10k log pot
i need it to behave as 0-33k from wiper to out
You will vary between 220k and 230k to ground, so NO.and 0-220k from wiper to ground
As said above, no.if i add a 68k resistors in series with the output lug and then parallel the end of it with the wiper using another 68k resistor
and placing a 220k series resistor in the ground lug then strapping in parallel the exit with the wiper

What is the actual problem you are trying to solve?
Post the full schematic and conditions.
IF this is a volume control, it will have close to zero effect.
FWIW I cleaned your schematic a little.
It still does not make sense.

so if i extend the resistance of a lug (1k pot + 100k series) and then parallel another 100k resistor at the end of it with the wiper, it wont act as a 50k variable resistor?
or to be more practical: if i add a fixed 100k resistor in series to a 1k variable resistor and then parallel this with a 100k resistor, so no 50k variable resistor? this cant be hacked?
yea, its for a volume, 250k
but all i have here is a 10k pot and i dont wanna go buy some, i dont wanna even leave bed
but i have some other values resistors so i tought i could do some evil cheat to change its nature
but even with a full 250k pot i'd still go for lowering the series resistance to max 47k... the leak to ground is ok at 250k or so
dunno if you understand
i dont have much willforce left even to try detailing in different points of view
but thx best wishes muy amigo del plata

Sadly no because you are adding fixed resistors.so if i extend the resistance of a lug (1k pot + 100k series) and then parallel another 100k resistor at the end of it with the wiper, it wont act as a 50k variable resistor?
The fixed part is about 50k, the variable part is 1k (in this case), the variation is swamped by the fixed part.or to be more practical: if i add a fixed 100k resistor in series to a 1k variable resistor and then parallel this with a 100k resistor, so no 50k variable resistor? this cant be hacked?
It will go from 50k to 50k5 or so.
being a classic volume pot you have 3 lugs:yea, its for a volume, 250k
but all i have here is a 10k pot and i dont wanna go buy some, but i have some other values resistors so i tought i could do some evil cheat to change its nature

1 goes straight to ground
2 is the wiper: audio out.
3 is "hot", or Audio In
A signal source driving it will see total resistance, in this case 10k
We need some basic schematic showing what is driving it and what it drives, also available and needed signal levels.
Simplest solution is to get the proper 250k pot, period.
IF you need to deliver it to a Customer TODAY, and you can´t wait to get one on Monday (sometimes happens to me, Musicians have to play during the weekend , amp ready on next Monday is useless to them) and you don´t have a 250k pot, you have 3 options:
1) you have a higher value one, say 500k or 1M ... usually no big deal (is it a Tube circuit?)
2) you have tons of headroom and extra signal level (say it´s a Master Volume in a tube Guitar preamp) but circuit can NOT drive 10k.
In that case you add a 220k resistor in series with volume pot.
Preamp "sees" 230k, pot works fine, but you have a fixed 26dB attenuator built-in 🙁
Mind you, sometimes that´s fine. (as in the Guitar preamp mentioned above)
3) you add a buffer. Even the simplest cheapest Emitter follower will do and is easy to add.
A Fet or an Op Amp would be even better, but not strictly needed.
IF you can not leave your home or all shops are closed you may try the other options.
If possible post the schematic, I am just guessing here.
E se cuida Amigo, a Quarentena ficou complicada para todos 🙁
dunno if you understand
