Custom Subwoofer paired w/ two KH2.2s?

I have two KH 2.2’s. I am interested in building my own subwoofer to go with them, but I’m not sure what the best option would be. This would be for listening to records, streaming music, and playing around with my mixer.

Thank you for any advice you guys can offer!

I should probably also mention that I would probably want to build a sub I can grow into, as well. I will probably enjoy building the sub, as I have never done anything like this before, and will want to upgrade from the bookshelf speakers.

Plug the vents or at least critically damp them and assuming some pipe organ CDs, most action movie soundtracks as worst case, then ~11 - 14 Hz Fb BP6/TH, (ML)TL with at least a 120 Hz Fhm to meet THX reference.

The box only loads the driver to its upper mass corner (Fhm) where T/S theory peters out, i.e. 20 Hz Fs, 120 Hz Fhm:

Qts': 2*Fs/Fhm = 2*20/120 = 0.333'

Fhm = 2*Fs/Qts'

Fs: Fhm*Qts'/2

(Qts'): (Qts) + any added series resistance (Rs)
