Hello everyone i'm new here, just noticed this interesting forum, if i had noticed earlier wouldn't have wasted time on reddit...🙄

Anyway let's get to it, hopefully someone here can give me some advice.

So i recently bought these headphones, i really like them, they sound magnificent, what i don't like that much are the bundled cables, so here am i asking for suggestions.

I'm kind of a noob in this matter but honestly i have an idea, i'm just not sure it's the best way, i just picked a shop in my country (Italy), which seem to have a decently big catalog (at least compared to others), and affordable shipping costs. So i was looking to buy Mogami W2893 as a cable (the miniaturized version), and neutrik plugs for both the plug-end and the headphones-end, one mini-XLR (REAN RT3FC-B) and TRS 6.35mm (NEUTRIK NP3X-B). Now i've come up with these parts because the mini-XLR plug from neutrik, is the only one i can easily find (and the only one that shop has), and it's inexpensive, but apparently, the max diameter of cable it can take is about 4.5mm, so i guess i can't go much above that, and i prefer also not to go much below, like 2/2,5mm hence the ~4.8mm W2893, which is smaller than the regular one, the W2534 (above 6mm iirc), and would allow me to use that mini XLR and be just right for it. But the W2893 is a quad star cable, so it has 4 core conductors + 1 shielding braid, and i was wondering, since these headphones have an unbalanced connection (the mini-XLR is 3pin) how should i use that cable, which wires, all of them? 2 pairs for signal and the shield for ground? Just the adjacent 2 for signal, and the shield for ground? Also, i want a very soft and flexible cable, is the W2893 that way? Oh and i prefer not to mod the headphones, at least for the time being.

Thanks for the help. Really appreciated.
