May I please ask what is the origin of the current tripath chips that are used to produce little digital amplifiers these days?
Are they still being produced by Cirrus Logic, or what?
It makes me wonder how do all these amps claim to be built based on chips like the TA2020...

The TPA3116 is made by Texas Instruments. My guess is that the obsolete tripath chips are made by the same suppliers of Tripath chips who have always made them. Companies tend to go to the lowest cost supplier so there may be several.
