CSS just posted some info over on the MAC DIY forum on their SDX15 subwoofer they are planning on bringing back. This looks like it could be a monster if the Klippel data they posted is real. Might have to add this to my short list of subwoofers for when I convert my basement into my HT room.

Impressive, the XBL2 motor design seems to be working well as the magnet isn't even that big for such excursion capability. Wonder if it can do 100hrs at +/-30mm without the glues failing though.

I doubt many woofers can actually do this but in home use it's not like it would ever see that anyway unless you like listening to 20 Hz tones 24/7 😛
Apparently B&C woofers are rated for xvar for that number of hours:

Remeber: with a subwoofer, push-push with a pair of woofers have big advantages.
I got 4 more SDX10 to replace the subs that got sold while i had my long stay in hospital.
omewhere i have the original drawings i did for Bob for SDX10//12/15, will continue to look for it.

Can't answer for the number of hours before glue failure but it is a very nice woofer. It augments the Altec 604's quite well.
Awesome setup!
I'm not trying to be that guy, but every single XBL subwoofer that I have personally klippel tested has been a giant abomination with a freak BL curve. I think the machining tolerances and dimensions for a proper XBL BL curve are critical, and if any of the gap dimensions or coil height are off suddenly you have a 13mm BL asymmetry like the Raven 10XL I just tested or the Brahma X 15 that only had 16mm one way linear BL with a curve that looked like the nipple of a baby bottle. Even Voice Coil test bench review of the SDX to has a very asymmetric BL curve. I will klippel test a new CSS SDX subwoofer if anybody wants to send one to me.
I know, I'm just giving some of my experience with testing production XBL subwoofers. Prototypes are cool but are meaningless if they don't translate to the retail product.
Going through my klippel database archive, I came across the Brahma X and generated a quick report.
Imagine paying $750 for this thinking you're getting 32mm one way of flat BL, and only getting 16mm with that BL curve.
