I saw the datasheets, the CS8416 output I2S is 24-bit. The TDA1543 input is I2S 16-bit. Are compatible?

Yes, set the 8416 to I2s. I'm listening to one now.

I used the Twisted Pear receiver (cs8416) and built the TDA1543 on breadboard. Connections :

CS8416 <-> TDA1543

pin27 OSCLK / BCK
pin28 OLRCK / WS
pin26 SDOUT / DATA

I follow the post #6 and after read the datasheet, I've designed and made this dac.
But obviously don't work!
Probably I made a mistake, when push play in the cdplayer the led on this schema turn off but no music.

I don't like the value of R16 - R17 - R18. Why do you want such a high value? Might be the problem.

i'm also working on the building of a cs8416 tda1543 dac.
My question is if it's possible to connect a "lock" led indicator in the cs8416 like is possible in the CS8412/8414?
