CS8412 replacement

Hello everyone, my question - I am using a TDA 1543 based dac with a receiver 8412 which can not accept 24/96 flacs. If I am not mistaken CS 8414 is pin to pin compatible, so if I replace 8412 wih 8414 will it play 24/96 files ?
