Would a CS4397 or WM8471 be OK driving an analog stage under 10k Ohms? It looks like CS is specififying into a 1kOhm load, does that sound right? WM callsout a 10kOhm load, I am not sure what they can drive.

The WM8741 can handle 2k to midrail, or twice that to ground. All measurements in the datasheet is specified into 10k however, and it would be best not to go below this.
According to an application note I found at CS the dynamic range is 5dB higher if loaded by 1k instead of 10k. As this must be for each output, the differential load must not be lower than 2k. Anyway I would sacrifice a few dBs dynamic range for lighter loading and go for 4-5k differential load (and use a 1:1 transformer with primary termination for balanced to unbalanced).
