CS 8412 CP not obsolete

The S1 was sold last year in the Netherlands for 25 dutch guilders a piece, that's about 11 Euro's or 10 US $ if I'm correct.
Sources have dried up unfortunately...

This chip seems very popular for some reason despite its inferior sound quality, being only 16 bit. 😉

How Poor?

Well I wouldn't mind the Zanden 5000 MkII with that poor performing chip! The Marantz CD7 is nice too!

Received my CS8412's today ! Datecode 0237 revision GTAWZG.
Price was 20 Euro's a piece.

they have the CS8412CP (13,45 €) as well as the TDA1541A (4,05€) in their web-catalog. Didn't checked availability yet.

I ordered them once at Reichelt, they have the IP version but 1997 revision unfortunately. TDA1541 they have too, only the normal version ( i.e. no S1/S2 ).

How much?

Put them in the trading post with full info with "best offer" as you asking price and wait for the best offer. It sounds like a sellers market on this one.

Tip: never buy TDA1541 without the A !!!

It is absolutely not comparable to the TDA1541A/N5, TDA1541A/S1 or TDA1541A/S2. In fact it is bad news this one.

TDA1541 ( without the A ) was meant to be used with a SAA7220P/A instead of the SAA7220P/B.
